Leopoldov spa lies in the Zlín region, which is situated in the eastern part of the country. The spa is 35 kilometres far from the region’s capital Zlín.

Spa description

Leopoldov is located in a beautiful and picturesque valley in the Chřiby Mountains, near Buchlovice and its very well-known Baroque castle. Leopoldov is not a spa in the exact sense of the word, so do not expect to find any colonnades so typical for other spas here. However, thanks to its location, Leopoldov is very popular with those, who want to take a break, as it as an ideal place where you can relax your body and mind.

At the moment, the spa has five massage bathtubs, an 8-person classic sauna and a 2-person infrared sauna. The spa offers classic massages and body peelings. More demanding clients can try seaweed or Dead Sea mud wraps. The women can treat themselves with honey wraps and different beauty treatments, including hair, hand and facial care. There is also a brand new salt cave in the spa.

Short history

In the past, the spa belonged to the Château Buchlovice, and, therefore, its history is closely connected to this Baroque castle. There are two buildings: a former hunting lodge built in the 1670s and the spa itself established at the beginning of the 19th century by a local philanthropist Leopold Berchold.

Places of interest

Leopoldov is an ideal choice for those who like active holiday. The visitors can play tennis in a modern court or have a swim in a beautiful dam, located nearby. One can explore the neighbourhood on a horse or a bike. While winter activities include skiing, in summer, dance evenings are often organized.
