Short history

The history of this spa dates back to 1553 when it was founded by Jan Kropac z Nevedomi (John Kropac from Unconscious). Jan Kropac was the owner of a large estate called Hranice and the spa foundings began when he built a stone reservoir into which mineral water springs were drained from the surrounding areas.

The spa was recognized more after the Second World War, when the scientifically proven therapeutic effects of local alkaline mineral water for people who suffered from vascular and cordical diseases were proved.
