Short history

History of Säckingen village dates back to the sixth century AD, when a large monastery was built there. It was, however, destroyed when a major fire in year 1200 hit the whole city. But then the city was re-built, including the Gothic cathedral named Fridolinsmünster, which is still standing n the city centre.

Places of interest

Recently, the spa expanded with a great range of unusual and atypical Japanese saunas. The outdoor spa area, whose part is a beautiful water park, includes two completely separate buildings with two completely different treatment approaches. In the first, there is located a healthy sauna with unparalleled aroma of fresh spring herbs. Part of the new modern complex represents a relaxation area, which is especially suitable for relax and rest. In this building you can calmly relax and quietly sip delicious Japanese tea.
