Pápa Thermal Spa is located in Veszprém county, which lies in the western part of Hungary. The spa area is 49 km far from the capital city of Veszprém. Currently, the spa town has over 33,000 inhabitants.

Spa description

Local thermal baths are located in the beautiful baroque town of Pápa. The foundation of the spa dates back to the sixties of the last century. Since then, many resorts have undergone renovations, the last one was in 2003. Spa Pápa offers a total of ten pools, four waterslides adrenaline, two slides for children and passive and active wellness service.

Composition of local medicinal water has a distinctive character of calcium-magnesium, as it has very low salt content. Healing powers of the water thus help especially to patients who suffer from gynecological problems. Water also helps to strengthen the immune system. Local healing water also demonstrated its positive and beneficial influence in the fight against osteoporosis, rheumatism and general problems with motion mechanism.

The swimming area of the spa is open every day from six o'clock in the morning to ten o'clock in the evening. The thermal pools are open from nine o'clock in the morning to nine o'clock in the evening. Tickets can be purchased either for two or four hours or for the whole day.

Short history

The local healing thermal water was found in 1962. In the eighties of the last century, the Gorki-local swimming pool was built in the romantic castle garden. The acutal and very large spa area with many water attractions, however, was opened in 2003.

Thermal baths Pápa offer brand new therapy center, where you have a large number of curative treatments. Here you can enjoy a relaxing massage or work out under the supervision of professional trainers and trainees.
