Bardejov Spa is located in the Prešov Region (northeastern part of the Slovak Republic). Bardejov Spa is 41 km far from the regional city of Prešov. Bardejov community has currently over 33,000 inhabitants.

Spa description

Bardejov Spa has eight mineral springs intended for drinking cures and concentrated on the beautiful colonnade, which is unique in the Slovak Republic. The local mineral water has a beneficial effect mainly on the digestive tract. Furthermore, it treats cardiovascular diseases, metabolic and endocrine glands’ disorders, climacteric syndrome some respiratory illnesses.

Selection of spa treatments offered in the Spa building is supplemented by Kneipp hydrotherapy. As a component of treatment, you can also swim in the heated pool in beautiful summer resort during the summer months.

Accommodation in Bardejov Spa can be found either in the Ozón hotel or František guesthouse. Ozón is three star hotel located in the center of the spa, as the modern glass hall is connected with the "spa house". Pension František is located near the forest in a very quiet part of the spa park.

Short history

Bardejov Spa boasts rich history. In 1895, local resorts were for example visited by the Austrian Empress Elisabeth, commonly known as Sisi. Her statue still dominates the beautiful spa park. At the end of the 19th century, the baths were very popular among the Polish and Hungarian nobility. At that time, it represented one of the most modern and well-equipped spa in the former Kingdom of Hungary.

Places of interest

Bardejov Spa is situated in the beautiful surroundings of green parks and forests, which is ideal environment for short morning and afternoon walks. Near the spa, there also lies the historic core of the city Bardejov. The city is registered in the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000. The most notable visit offers the gothic church of St. Giles, which was even visited by Pope John Paul II.
