Turčianske Teplice Spa has highly curative thermal water that has exceptional composition with higher content of magnesium, calcium and fluorine. The thermal water has proven good effects on diseases of the spine and musculoskeletal system, urinary tract and also on kidney, gynecological and neurological diseases. The local mineral water is used for drinking cures, which prevents the body from gall bladder and bowel problems. Turčianske Teplice Spa achieved very significant successes in convalescence and recovery, such as after oncological diseases, inflammation of the prostate and various types of injuries.

Short history

The first written mention of the existence of thermal mineral springs in the Turčianske Teplice area is from 1281. Important year in the development of the spa is the year 1728, when the Kremnice city built here Green bath with five rooms and a kitchen. During the First World War baths served as a military hospital. After the First World War, Grand Hotel was also built here.
